Make Me a Game
YOUR IDEA. A COMPLETE GAME.
Press "Make me a game" and you get a whole game, not a sketch: three, five or eight stages, a story that runs through them, its own art, and in five of the starters a boss waiting at the end. Don't like it? Roll again, or lock the parts you like and roll the rest. Undo brings the last one back.
21 STARTERS IN 12 GENRES
Platformer, endless runner, flappy flight, arcade shooter, invader waves, asteroid pilot, arena survivor, growing snake, brick breaker, paddle duel, maze explorer, dungeon explorer, traffic racer, circuit racing, memory match, minefield puzzle, tower defence, base building, turn-based tactics, tag arena and arcade football.
Every starter has its own illustrated sprite pack, and the worlds run from forest and desert to ice, ocean, candy and space. Power-ups, bonus saucers and boss fights in the arcade starters.
MAKE IT YOURS
• Pick the world, your hero, the enemies, the difficulty and how long the run is
• Edit any stage, or paint your own course, track, room or defence route
• Tune the feel: jump height, gravity, speed, health, double jumps
• Add your own rules, like "defeat 20 enemies and get a shield" or "collect 10 gems to win the stage"
• Touch controls you can size and swap for left hands
• Import your own sprites and animate them
LEARN HOW IT WORKS
Six short coding lessons built on the game in front of you, the real template code to read, and a live canvas where you write a movement function and watch it run. You can pause the game, step one frame at a time and see the player's hitbox and the rules firing.
KEEP THE CODE
Export your game as a single HTML file that runs in any browser, with no libraries and nothing online, or as C source for raylib to build on a desktop. The code is readable and named, and it's yours to change and share.
Want to take it further with an AI? The app writes the brief for you: copy it into any chat, free ones included, and paste the reply back in. Nothing is sent anywhere by the app itself.
YOUR WORK STAYS WITH YOU
No account, no ads, nothing sent anywhere, and no AI called while you use it. Your recipes are saved in your browser on this device, and Saved backs them up to a file. "Keep an offline copy of the app" downloads the whole thing as one file.
Exporting from inside itch's page: some browsers block downloads and copying in an embedded game. If yours does, the note at the top has an "Open in its own tab" button, and your work comes with you.
MADE BY
B.C. Anderson, Darkstorm Interactive. Built with Claude (Anthropic) under Bryan's direction. The sprite sheets and scenery were made with AI image tools and then cut, cleaned and fitted for the game by our own tools. Games you make are yours to keep, change and share.
